About
A guide to working on the Humber, written from here

Humber Careers is an independent, editorial guide to working across Hull, Grimsby, Immingham, Scunthorpe, Goole and the East Riding: the estuary at the centre of the UK's offshore wind, ports and process industries.
What we do
Most job sites treat the Humber as a location filter on a national search and nothing more. We think the region deserves proper sector guides that explain what the work is and what it pays, honest apprenticeship guidance, employer profiles nobody paid for, and career advice that isn't filler.
What we're not
We're not a recruitment agency and we don't host our own listings. Our jobs directorylinks to official employer careers pages, public services and job boards so you see current vacancies rather than adverts that closed weeks ago.
How we source what we publish
Facts about employers, sector scale and job creation come from public sources — company and careers announcements, industry bodies such as Humber Freeport and Humber Marine and Renewables, the local press and government data — and each guide lists its sources at the foot of the page. Salary figures are broad, indicative ranges, not live vacancy data. Every page is dated. Ournews page is refreshed automatically from public feeds every few hours.
